Geothermal energy will change the lifestyle in Croatia

Top score quality secures EFLA a large contract with Statnett

EFLA Consulting Engineers recently won a contract for the engineering design of Statnett´s latest 90 km, 420 kV line in Blåfalli – Gismarvik, which will secure the power supply to Norway's second-largest aluminium smelter.
With the Wind in our Sails

EFLA Consulting Engineers will host a session at the 2022 Arctic Circle Assembly which will be held in Harpa Concert Hall and Conference Centre, Reykjavík, Iceland, on the 13th-16th of October. The session is called "With the Wind in our Sails" and will take place on Friday the 14th of October from 08:30-09:25 at Akrafjall, 4th level in Harpa concert hall and conference centre.
EFLA´s representatives in Croatia

EFLA´s representatives are in Croatia to participate in an initial press conference and a Round table for a project on the Development of technical documentation for the use of geothermal energy in the area of Veliko Koenovo and in the city of Bjelover in Croatia.
EFLA at CIGRE in Paris

EFLA engineers attended this year’s CIGRE conference in Paris, which gathered approximately 3500 specialists from several countries to discuss and share the latest knowledge and technology on energy systems and components.
EFLA´s involved in geothermal energy projects in Croatia

EFLA consulting engineers have been selected as partners in two projects related to the use of geothermal energy in Bjelovar, Croatia. The projects are partly funded by EEA and Norway Grants, EEA Grants. The goal of the projects is to increase energy production from renewable sources, reduce CO2 emissions and increase the security of energy supply.

EFLA acquires a majority stake in HECLA SAS

EFLA Consulting has acquired a majority stake in HECLA SAS, a French engineering company based in Paris, after the completion of EFLA ‘s acquisition of Landsvirkjun´s holdings, through its subsidiary Landsvirkjun Power, and Jean Chauveau. EFLA now holds a 96.5% share of HECLA SAS, with two key executives holding 3.5%.
A new geothermal spa in the north of Iceland

EFLA managed all the engineering design in the brand-new Forest Lagoon geothermal spa in the north of Iceland. EFLA conducted the project in close collaboration with Basalt Architects and the landscaping studio Landslag .

Statnett powerlines (Norway) are generally constructed in extremely difficult, mountainous terrain exposed to high wind and ice loads. The lack of accessibility to most tower locations requires all equipment, materials and personnel to be flown to the construction site. Reducing the flying time or number of trips has a huge impact on the environment and cost. These constraints and impacts triggered a R&D project, with EFLA's participation, aimed at developing a new tower made completely of aluminium for the 420kV transmission network.
