EFLA is a general engineering and consulting company based in Iceland with international activities and consultancy around the globe.
EFLA's strength is based on highly qualified and experienced professionals with expertise in a wide variety of fields. The company mission is to enable and support the success of its customers and society as a whole, through progressive and value-driven solutions.

History
EFLA and its predecessors have a 50-year successful history. In October 2008, the merger of four Icelandic engineering consultancy companies was formally announced under the name of EFLA Consulting Engineers.
Our name
In northern and modern Icelandic, the word "EFLA" means "strengthening", to "strengthen" or "reinforce". The name reflects the company's mission of strengthening customers ability to achieve their goals while being a visible and strong player in the development of society.
Ownership and board of directors
EFLA's approximately one hundred shareholders are all active and full-time employees of the company.
Company policy
In order to ensure the highest possible level of client services at all times, EFLA has set clear policies for the company's various divisions relating to its internal operations, daily management and personnel activities.
