The aim of sustainable design and assessment is to reduce environmental impacts of the built environment, create a more productive and healthy indoor environment and lower maintenance demand.


EFLA employs licenced BREEAM assessors and BREEAM accredited professionals who provide consultancy on sustainability assessments and certifications.

To enhance sustainability of the built environment, sustainability assessment methods have been developed. In recent years, the demand for assessment and certification of construction projects has been on the rise. EFLA has been a leading consultant in this field in Iceland and offers service on sustainable design of buildings and infrastructure projects as well as sustainability assessment and certification, e.g. in accordance with BREEAM.
