World Geothermal Congress 2023
The World Geothermal Congress (WGC) is set to take place in Beijing, China, from September 15th to 17th, 2023. EFLA will participate in this prestigious event, representing Iceland alongside other leading companies in the geothermal energy sector through the platform known as Green by Iceland.
The WGC serves as a remarkable gathering, bringing together industry leaders, academic experts, financial institutions, governmental bodies, NGOs, and local communities to foster collaboration and knowledge-sharing in the field of geothermal energy.
This international conference, which convenes every three years, stands as one of the largest and most influential geothermal events worldwide. It provides an invaluable platform for the exchange of knowledge and the exploration of innovative solutions within the realm of geothermal energy.
Geothermal energy has emerged as a vital cornerstone of renewable energy solutions available today, and Iceland, with its rich experience, has become a leader in harnessing geothermal power for electricity generation over the past few decades.
EFLA, along with Icelandic companies including Ísor, Landsvirkjun, OR, Verkís, Jarðboranir, and Mannvit/Cowi, will participate in the Icelandic booth facilitated by Green by Iceland.
Additionally, a range of prominent Icelandic companies, such as On Power, Carbfix, Reykjavík University, University of Iceland, GRÓ-GTP, and Orkustofnun, will actively engage in this conference.
