With the Wind in our Sails

EFLA Consulting Engineers will host a session at the 2022 Arctic Circle Assembly which will be held in Harpa Concert Hall and Conference Centre, Reykjavík, Iceland, on the 13th-16th of October. The session is called "With the Wind in our Sails" and will take place on Friday the 14th of October from 08:30-09:25 at Akrafjall, 4th level in Harpa concert hall and conference centre.

  • Kristinn A. Ormsson
    Electrical Power Engineer – Specialist at EFLA Consulting Engineers in Iceland.
    Is the answer blowing in the wind? Finding the most favourable locations for wind power in Iceland regarding social, environmental, and technical factors.
  • Stefan Wallentin
    Head of Project Development at wpd in Germany.
    Strong Winds in the North? Challenges of Windfarm Development, Construction, and Operation in Subarctic Lands.
  • Unnur Maria Thorvaldsdottir
    Director, Wind Development at the National Power Company, Iceland.

The moderator is Björt Ólafsdóttir. She is the former Minister for the Environment and Natural Resources of Iceland, former chairperson of the Bright Future political party and member of the current task force for wind power utilisation in Iceland.
