EFLA at Iceland Geothermal Conference 2018
The 4th international Iceland Geothermal Conference takes place in Iceland on the 24th – 26th of April. The conference is held by the Icelandic Geothermal Cluster that EFLA Consulting Engineers is a part of. It's intention is to be a platform for the geothermal industry and project developers to gather and share views on how to improve the business environment for geothermal projects.
EFLA
participates in the conference and Rúnar Magnússon, manager of geothermal at
EFLA, will speak at the conference along with Tryggvi Þór Herbertsson. Their topic
of discussion is called „Where are all the private investors in the geothermal
sector?“ and is in about investment and funding of geothermal projects.
Furthermore, Sunna Björg Reynisdóttir from EFLA will be a session chair in a
breakout session called „Impacting operating costs and revenue“.
About 600
guests are expected to visit the conference with participation from around 50 countries.
The conference offers an in-depth discussion of the barriers that hinder
development of the geothermal sector and how to overcome them. It also focuses
on the business environment through three separate themes: vision, development,
and operations.
We encourage all visitors at the conference to look at EFLA's
exhibitor booth and chat with our experts on geothermal and energy.
Further information about the conference can be found on the IGC website.
