EFLA signs a declaration on climate issues

EFLA engineers is among 103 Icelandic companies, institutions and municipalities that have signed a declaration on climate issues.

EFLA wants to drive and encourage towards a more responsible world environmentally and underline that it will continued on the path the company has already marked; to lead both in their own operations and in consulting on environmental issues and environmental-related projects.

EFLA operates under a certified environmental management system, has an environmentally sound manner in all its operations in accordance with the companies, ISO 14001-certificate and has since 2005 conducted and published green accounting.

The United Nations 21. Climate Conference, COP21, will take place in Paris in early December. The expected outcome of the meeting is a new international agreement on climate change, applicable to all, to keep global warming below 2°C. Its goal is to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and curb global warming.


Mr. Arinbjörn Friðriksson, chairman of the board, signed the declaration on behalf EFLA, in Reykjavik today, 16 November 2015.
