EFLA renews contracts with Statnett

EFLA Consulting Engineers has during recent years been working on preparation and design in respect of the construction of a 150 kilometer, 420 kV high-voltage line that Statnett is going to build in northern Norway. Construction of the line will start soon and at the start of this year, EFLA had its work contracts in relation to the project renewed.

Over the past two years, EFLA has helped Statnett with planning and the design of masts and foundations. EFLA was also entrusted with geological and geotechnical assessment of the line path with respect to foundation conditions plus drillings at selected mast locations. Additionally, EFLA has been involved in the planning of the project, working with reindeer farmers in the area, among others.

EFLA has now had its contracts renewed relating to design and consultancy in the construction phase, as well as new contracts on building management and inspection.

See more about the project under the attached links:

This project is one of many projects on which EFLA in Norway is currently working with Statnett, which owns and operates the electricity transmission system, thus playing the same role as Landsnet in Iceland. The office of EFLA in Norway employs 10 employees plus subcontractors. EFLA in Iceland is also heavily involved in projects with Statnett in collaboration with EFLA's office in Oslo.
