EFLA at international hydropower conference

EFLA and collaborators in hydropower consultancy participated at the annual Hydropower & Dams conference that took place in Gdansk, Poland, last week. The purpose was to elucidate the Icelandic expertise in planning and designing hydropower plants worldwide.

EFLA partnered up with fellow engineering teams from Verkís, Mannvit, Vatnaskil and Landsvirkjun Power. Promote Iceland, public-private partnership arranged an exhibition stand and assisted with the promotion and marketing effort from team Iceland. Many visitors came to the exhibition booth and talked to the Icelandic team and learned more about the service and projects in the field of hydropower plants. 

Cross-border collaboration

Hydro conference is renowned as an international gathering for the global hydropower community. Around 1500 guests from 75-80 countries participated in the conference sharing their common interest in hydro development. The conference programme  was versatile focusing on the planning, design, operation, maintenance, civil works and upgrading of hydro plants and cross-border collaboration.
