Design of decorative lighting
Because of European Transport Week in Kópavogur, the decorative lights on the bridge over Fífuhvammsvegur by Smáralind were turned on. EFLA's lighting designers were hired to design the lighting in co-operation with Kópavogur town representatives. The lights, which are colourful, were designed to highlight the architecture of the bridge and also to brighten up the atmosphere during the short winter days.
The colour selections are based on several events, including Kópavogur's anniversary, Pink Days, Moustache March, Christmas, Easter, Independence Day and Gay Pride. The daily colours can also be controlled in accordance with sunrise and sunset until midnight for the remainder of the winter.
