EFLA receives an EPIC MegaGrant

EFLA Consulting Engineers has been granted an EPIC MegaGrant by Epic Games to complete its project „Time changes everything“. The project is a virtual time machine simulator. Epic Games is the maker of Fortnite, Unreal Engine and Twinmotion, to name a few.

EFLA's transmission system projects in Sweden have made great progress. Svenska Kraftnät recently signed an agreement with EFLA for the development and design of new double-circuit 400 kV tower types that are a part of a development project for the next 20 years, called the NordSyd project.
EFLA highest rated in Statnett's framework agreement

Statnett, the system operator of the Norwegian transmission system, has renewed its framework agreement with EFLA Consulting Engineers. The framework agreement entails consultation as well as design work. EFLA received the highest score out of all participants.

Statnett powerlines (Norway) are generally constructed in extremely difficult, mountainous terrain exposed to high wind and ice loads. The lack of accessibility to most tower locations requires all equipment, materials and personnel to be flown to the construction site. Reducing the flying time or number of trips has a huge impact on the environment and cost. These constraints and impacts triggered a R&D project, with EFLA's participation, aimed at developing a new tower made completely of aluminium for the 420kV transmission network.
