2014 Arctic Circle assembly
The Arctic Circle assembly is held for the second time in Harpa Reykjavík from October 31 to November 2.
The Arctic Circle is nonprofit and nonpartisan. Organizations, forums, think tanks, corporations and public associations around the world are invited to hold meetings within the Arctic Circle platform.
EFLA Consulting Engineers participates in two Breakout Sessions at Arctic Circle. Energy session on Friday the 30 of October, where Eysteinn Einarsson and Stefán Kári Sveinbjörnsson talk about "The possible utilization of wind energy in isolated systems in northern areas." The second one is on Saturday the 1 of November and is about Infrastructure. Jón Vilhjálmsson, head of Energy at EFLA talks about "Development of transmission system in sparsely populated area and operation in harsh weather conditions, an Icelandic example" and Jón Haukur Steingrímsson talks about "Developing power lines in Remote permafrost regions".
