Dr. Majid Eskafi, who works in port planning and engineering at EFLA Consulting Engineers, participated in Nor-Shipping 2023 which was held in Lillestrøm, Norway early in June. At Nor-Shipping, policymakers, decision makers, and frontiers in port and maritime industries participate and give lectures.
Highlights of the event
The main topics at this year's Nor-Shipping were energy transition in port and maritime industries, decarbonizing the shipping industry, presentation of the newest achievement in the field of energy transition in port and maritime industries, and the role of ports as energy hubs.
At the event, Dr. Eskafi conducted meetings with companies and shared information about EFLA's capabilities at the international level to expand our networking and/or strengthen our collaboration with foreign companies aiming at carrying out projects, and business development.
EFLA is one of the pioneering Icelandic companies in the energy sector and has conducted several projects in energy transition in the maritime industry and port planning and design.
In this context, the ongoing Finnafjörður port project opens doors to move faster toward decarbonizing the maritime industry.
