EFLA acquires an engineering consulting firm in Poland

EFLA Consulting Engineers has finalised the acquisition of the Polish firm Ispol Projekt. Ispol specialises in general preparation and design of energy transmission lines and substations. That includes overhead power lines, underground cables and fiber optic cables as well as high voltage equipment.

Among the principal clients of Ispol Projekt are PSE, the Polish Transmission System Operator (TSO), Polish Distribution System Operators (DSO's), and contractors in this field. For over a decade, EFLA has had a very good relationship with Ispol, and prior to the acquisition owned a small share in the firm. Ispol has over 30 employees, with its headquarters in Lodz, Poland.

EFLA is a general engineering and consulting company based in Iceland, with widespread activities and international focus in specific areas of expertise. The company has a long experience and knowledge related to the development and design of electricity transmission and distribution systems, and is a leader in this field. With the Ispol acquisition, EFLA acquires a leading consulting firm in energy transmission and distribution systems in Poland, which EFLA will strengthen further with expertise in this field. The Polish economy has grown steadily in the past decades and further development and reform of the Polish energy infrastructure is expected, where Ispol is a strong participant. In addition to further business development in Poland, the acquisition will also strengthen the expertise and competitiveness of EFLA and expand EFLA's opportunities globally.
