October 2009, BM Muhendislik and Turkison in Ankara signed a contract on consultation. Turkison is a subsidiary of EFLA with headquarters in Ankara. New ownership is planned for Turkison, as Iceland GeoSurvey (ISOR) is buying shares in Turkison which aims to be a leading firm in geothermal consultation in Turkey.

New ownership is planned for Turkison, as Iceland GeoSurvey (ISOR) is buying shares in Turkison which aims to be a leading firm in geothermal consultation in Turkey.

EFLA, Turkison and ISOR will assist BM to develop the Ortaklar geothermal area in Turkey which is close to the Germansik Power Plant. The contract covers an evaluation of geological and geophysical data as well as evaluation or well testing. A volumetric assessment will be provided and the drilling of 5-10 new wells proposed. EFLA and ISOR will make the preliminary design for a geothermal power plant in the Ortaklar-area, along with a business plan report, and evaluation of a district heating system and a carbon dioxide capture plant.
