EFLA was in early September honored by the visit of Luka Bebic, the President of the Croatian parliament along with his delegation. The Croatian guests were in particular interested in the utilization of geothermal energy, which is extensive in Iceland but in the initial stages in Croatia. EFLA is already participating in geothermal projects in Croatia and has entered into a cooperation agreement with Energy Institute Hrvoje Pozar in developing general use of geothermal energy in Croatia.

During the visit, the Croatian delegation was introduced to the activities of EFLA Consulting Engineers, the unique geothermal utilization in Iceland and the corresponding opportunities in Croatia. It was evident in the discussions during the visit that there is considerable interest among Croatian leaders in making use of the clean and renewable geothermal energy within the country.
